    1. A musical is a movie or play that has singing in it. Dialogue is optional, usually there is a small part of dialogue. Sometimes they tell a story, and other times it is to show the talents of writers or performers.
    2. Vaudeville shows were always clean, no crude sayings that would insult someone's life or religion. Most Vaudeville performers were very tired because there was no vacation and they performed up to 40 weeks a year, that's about 280 performances.
    3. Musicals begun in 5th century B.C., they started in Greece. Aeschylus and Sophocles are some of the first playwrights to make their own songs to use in their musicals. Romans then took the idea from the Greeks and expanded it. By third century Plautus did the some thing except with orchestral accompaniment.
    4. The six elements of making a musical are the score, the book, the production team, the creative team, how to write the musical, and getting the musical produced.
    5. Pros usually have more than just them raising the money. There are always a group of producers that agree to get a percentage of the money to make the musical good. This is done by holding gala events were potential investors will come and if one likes the highlights of the musical they may invest some money into it and they will eventually get the money to produce the play.
6.It surprised me that theater went back to the 5th century of the Greeks.
